4 Google Apps that can make your life easier

Google has permeated almost every aspect of our lives, that is now very easy to hear “Ask google”, if you ask difficult questions and you do not know the answer.

Let’s talk about, ways you have been relating to google and its products, that you may or may not know about. First, a google account. With a Username and password, you have access to a good number of other google applications—search, maps, YouTube, Play, News, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, Translate etc.

Arguably, a good number of people with Google accounts are still in the dark on some beneficial applications available to users.

Launched on April 24, 2012 the Google Drive application is a file storage and synchronizing service that permits the upload of any file to the cloud, sharing files with other users and accessing files from any computer or smartphone. Aside optional pay plans for 100 GB, 1-30 terabytes, the holder of a Google account has access to 15 GB free Google online storage to keep photos, videos, etc.

Since 2006, Google docs, sheets, slides were integrated into Google drive of today. The applications function as word-processor, spreadsheet and presentation respectively. Collaboratively, they allow users to view and edit documents, spreadsheets and presentation through web browser or mobile devices. You can also work on office documents without long process conversions.

Google form is a personalized survey method that invites respondents by email. This form simplifies the method of getting information or conducting interview. It permits asking series of questions as appropriate and stated by the user—responses can be viewed as they come in. With no special software required, the form allows you to create and analyze surveys right on your mobile and web-enabled devices—summarizing results at a glance with charts and graphs.

Google maps

It is your stress-free companion that knows the direction of your route when you are stuck. Launched in Feb, 2005 by Google, the maps help you get directions especially in areas that are properly digitally mapped. It offers satellite imagery, street maps, 360-degree panoramic views of streets, re

al-time traffic conditions (Google traffic) and route planning for travelling by foot, cars, bicycle or public transportation.

 

Interestingly, the “Google Maps Help” also suggests options whenever there are multiple routes, the best route to the destination is blue, other routes are in grey on the map.

Other apps associated with Google include Google Translate, Google classroom, Google hangouts, Google keep, Google books, Google+, Google news (G news) among others.
